LR Colterenzio Riserva 2019

The LR wine is the crown jewel of the winery Colterenzio. It is a white wine made in small quantities, with Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon and Gewürztraminer grapes. It takes its name by Luis Raifer, who has been the chairman and director of Colterenzio winery for many years. With a beautiful straw yellow colour, at nose it releases intense notes of exotic fruits on an herbaceous and spicy background. In the mouth, it is rich and aromatic with a pleasant freshness and spicy in addition to fruity notes on the final. The LR by Colterenzio is excellent in combination with important fish dishes, risotto with seafood, swordfish carpaccio, oysters and medium seasoning cheeses.

The Colterenzio winery was established in 1960 by 28 wine makers, and in the course of the time more and more producers have added to them until the 300 of today: they work in a surface of 300 hectares. The quality of soils, as well as the wine of this locality was recognized around 15 before Christ., when Cornelius lodged there by laying the foundations for the Colterenzio vineyards. The cornerstones of the winery’s philosophy are naturalness, respect for traditions and use of modern technologies, in fact the three kind of wines that the cave produces, follow these ideas: there are classic wine, that people can drink everyday, Praedium wines, that are produced by Oltradige vineyards, and the great Cornell wines which have an enormous international value.
