Müller Thurgau has an own character and it is produced with grapes that derive from clayish soils of the Oltradige area. The wine presents a straw yellow colour with some green reflexes, in addition to a floral bouquet with white peach', apricot', elderflower', white flowers' s hints. This type of wine is a little bit aromatic, but at the same time endowed with a good structure, with a balanced acidity and a correct minerality. For these reasons this wine accompanies perfectly sea food and grilled or backed second courses of fish.
The Colterenzio winery was established in 1960 by 28 wine makers, and in the course of the time more and more producers have added to them until the 300 of today: they work in a surface of 300 hectares. The quality of soils, as well as the wine of this locality was recognized around 15 before Christ., when Cornelius lodged there by laying the foundations for the Colterenzio vineyards. The cornerstones of the winery’s philosophy are naturalness, respect for traditions and use of modern technologies, in fact the three kind of wines that the cave produces, follow these ideas: there are classic wine, that people can drink everyday, Praedium wines, that are produced by Oltradige vineyards, and the great Cornell wines which have an enormous international value.
