The Lessona doc of Tenute Sella is a red wine produced with grapes of Nebbiolo (80%) and Vespolina (20%) that come from wine yards situated on the Lessona hills in the North of Piedmont. It has a ruby limpid red color and an aroma really fruity with violet, cherry, blackberry and spice notes. The taste is equilibrate and pleasant characterized by a balsamic and mineral aftertaste. It is perfect if drunk with pasta and rice, red meat, braise meat, game and cheeses of medium aging.
The Tenute Sella have origins that date back to 1600 when the first vineyard was bought in Lessona, in the province of Biella. Since the end of the nineteenth century the company has had a decisive impulse with the purchase of vineyards on the hills of Bramaterra, becoming the spokesman of the process for the recognition of the DOC Lessona and Bramaterra. Nowadays, with almost 20 hectares of vineyards, always cultivated with the greatest respect for the surrounding ecosystem, the Tenute Sella stands out for their high quality and elegant wines, obtained with traditional methods, using technology only in the final phases of the production.
