More info

The Trebianco of Castello dei Rampolla is a very special wine because it shows a characteristic "orange" color and is refined in large terracotta amphorae. Made with Chardonnay, Traminer, Sauvignon Blanc and Malvasia grapes, it has a beautiful amber color that is its main feature. At nose, it develops a complex, intense and fruity bouquet with notes of citrus, broom and sweet almonds. In mouth, it is full-bodied with a good freshness and some slightly mineral notes. It is perfect if drunk chilled as an aperitif, but also in combination with roasted or grilled fish, crustaceans and medium aged cheeses

Manufacturer

The Castello dei Rampolla winery was founded in 1739. Its history begins in the ‘60s when the founder, Alceo di Napoli Rampolla decided to create an important wine, a Chianti Classico wine. Over the years he tried different enological experimets, including that makes his winery fomous: the “Sanmarco” wine. The winery is managed by the founder’s sons with biological methods nowadays: the purpose is to create high quality wines respecting the environnement, that reflect the tipical tastes and smells of territory
