Franciacorta DOCG P.R. Brut Monte Rossa 2014

The Franciacorta “P.R.” Brut of Monterossa is a Blanc de Blancs sparkling wine, which was born for celebrating the 35 years of the winery. It takes its name from the founders: Paola Rovetta and her husband Paolo Rabotti.

Made with Chardonnay from the best cru, it shows a brilliant straw yellow color and a fine and persistent perlage.

Fine and elegant, at nose it gets off fruity notes of pineapple, citrus, yellow peach and dried fruit. In mouth, it is fresh and sapid with a pleasant effervescence.

This Franciacorta wine is perfect if drunk chilled as an aperitif or in combination withfish dishes, crustaceans, seafood and fresh cheeses

The cave Monterossa is collocated in Franciacorta and it was established by Paolo Rabotti and his wife Paola in 1972, because both wanted to start an original wine’s production. The estate includes a villa that goes back up 700 and a tower of the Middle Age. Today Monte Rossa includes 70 hectares of vineyards and every year it sells about 500 000 bottles of wine. Since 1972 the cave is the protagonist of the sparkling wine’s world.
