The Barolo Rocche dell'Annunziata by Renato Ratti is a velvety and gentle red wine, produced with 100% Nebbiolo grapes cultivated in the homonymous vineyard, historically known as one of the most important in the Barolo area. After aging in large oak barrels for about two years and in the bottle for about one year, it shows beautiful garnet red color. On the nose, it expresses a delicate and persistent bouquet, floral, with hints of violet, rose, and licorice. Characterized by tremendous aging potential, on the palate, it is soft, savory, warm, and persistent. A wine of extraordinary elegance, the Barolo Rocche dell'Annunziata by Renato Ratti is perfect to enjoy with dishes based on red meats, such as roasts and braised meats, game and aged cheeses.
Renato Ratti’s caves are founded in 1965, when Renato decided to transfer the wine’s production, already begun in Alba, to La Morra in a building called the Annunziata. Since 1970 Renato Ratti became a datum point for the Langhe’s wine, and then he wrote lots of books about the composition and the history of his vineyards. After the death of Renato in 1998, the cave passed to his son Pietro, who amplifies his territories and modernize the winery. The building of the New Annunziata began in 2002, and even now it safeguards the wines’ production, always by respecting the tradition.
