The Barolo del Comune di Monforte d'Alba by Domenico Clerico is a red wine of great prestige and refinement, produced with pure Nebbiolo grapes from the finest vineyards of Monforte d'Alba. In appearance, it shows an intense ruby ​​red color, with garnet reflections suggesting complexity. On the nose, it reveals an enveloping and complex bouquet, characterized by deep notes of ripe red fruits such as cherries, plums, and raspberries, enriched by floral hints of violet and rose, on a slightly spicy background. In 1976, Domenico Clerico began to appoach to the world of wine. During those years, Domenico's father cultivated vineyards which he later sold to the Barolo Cooperative Winery. In 1981, Domenico decided to purchase a new plot of land, as at that time it was much more advantageous to vinify grapes:in this way he began to expand the company. Today, Domenico Clerico Winery is one of the most renowned in Piedmont, with approximately 21 hectares of vineyards producing a total of 110,000 bottles annually. The estate-owned vineyards are located in some of the best crus of the Barolo production area, including the Ginestra cru, the source of some of their most prestigious wines. The production philosophy is characterized by a balance between tradition and innovation, always striving to produce wines that best express the character of the territory and the grape variety. Vinification is carried out using modern methods and state-of-the-art equipment, but with a profound respect for traditional techniques.
