Description

Barolo by Bartolo Mascarello 2013 is the authentic expression of a vintage particularly appreciated by enthusiasts and critics alike for its balance and classic elegance. A prestigious wine and a true legend of Piedmontese winemaking, renowned worldwide, Barolo by Bartolo Mascarello perfectly reflects the traditionalist philosophy of the estate. It is crafted from a blend of hand-harvested Nebbiolo grapes sourced from several vineyards: Cannubi, San Lorenzo, and Rué in Barolo, and the Rocche cru in La Morra. After a long maceration and aging in large Slavonian oak casks, the wine reveals in the glass a captivating transparent garnet red color with delicate orange hues. The bouquet is complex and floral, constantly evolving, with notes of ripe cherry, dark berries, dried rose, violet, and forest floor. On the palate, it is elegant and refined, deep and austere, with perfectly integrated tannins. Characterized by a long, savory, and mineral finish, Barolo by Bartolo Mascarello pairs beautifully with structured dishes such as roasted or braised meats, game, and aged cheeses. Also excellent as a meditation wine, Bartolo Mascarello’s Barolo has the potential to evolve beautifully in bottle for 20 to 30 years.
