More info

The Alta Langa Monsignore is a classic method sparkling wine produced with 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Chardonnay, which stands out for its elegance and refinement. At first sight, it shows a bright straw yellow color and a fine, persistent perlage that develops into a harmonious effervescence. On the nose, it offers a complex and enveloping bouquet, with notes of fresh fruit and floral nuances, accompanied by subtle hints of yeast that add depth and character. On the palate, it distinguishes itself for its complexity and intensity, with a well-balanced structure and a soft, harmonious finish. Alta Langa Monsignore is a gastronomic wine, perfect for pairing with fish-based dishes, vegetable appetizers, and fresh cheeses.

The Monsignore winery, located in Vicoforte in the heart of Alta Langa, is the project of Giuseppe Blengini, a successful architect, and his wife Roberta Ceretto, daughter of Bruno. In 2014, they decided to bet on the sparkling wines of Alta Langa and to enhance a terroir very different from the nearby Langa. The property comprises 44 hectares of land, of which currently 10 are vineyards, all cultivated with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, grape varieties that find their ideal habitat in the hills of Alta Langa. In 2019, the production expanded by renting vineyards from small producers who follow a common protocol in Canelli, Santo Stefano Belbo, Vesime, and Diano d'Alba, to have a blend of grapes that bring complexity and different tannic notes. The Alta Langa Monsignore wines embody the essence of the territory, with their lively freshness, balanced structure, and fine persistent perlage
