The Rosè of Marcalberto winery is a sparkling wine produced with a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes grown in the hills around Santo Stefano Belbo.
With a beautiful antique pink color and faint and persistent bubbles, the nose develops fresh and fruity aromas with hints of bread crust. The taste is nice and fresh, well balanced, harmonious and dry. The Rosè of Marcalberto winery is an ideal wine to drink chilled as an aperitif, or in combination with fresh summer appetizers based on meat or fish.
The Marcalberto winery is a small family-run business set in Santo Stefano Belbo; it was founded by the oenologist Piero Cane and it produces exclusively “Spumanti Metodo Classico”. From 1996 the management passed to the brothers Marco and Alberto who followed with passion each step of wine-making, taking at best advantage of the six hectares of Pinot Nero and Chardonnay that give life to some of the best sparkling wines in the area.The winery, created in a historic house of the 19th century built with stone and tuff, produces over 30,000 bottles a year of “Spumanti Metodo Classico”.
