Description

Moscato d'Asti by Saracco is an aromatic, sweet, and slightly sparkling wine, characterized by intense notes of orange blossom, peach, and thyme—primarily primary aromas, those naturally present in the grapes. Pale straw yellow in color with greenish highlights, it stands out visually for its fine perlage, a sign of slow fermentation and gentle secondary fermentation. On the palate, it offers an intense, elegant, and persistent flavor. The sweetness is well balanced by a pleasant acidity and the fruity aromas typical of the Moscato grape. Moscato d’Asti is defined as an aromatic wine because the grapes naturally contain all the aromas that are later found in the wine. Furthermore, the variety from which it originates is indigenous, as it was born, cultivated, and spread exclusively in these hills between the Langhe and Monferrato. Moscato d'Asti by Saracco pairs beautifully with desserts such as dry pastries, fruit tarts, panettone, colomba, and cream-based cakes. It also complements fresh fruit like peaches, apricots, strawberries, melon, and grapes, and offers a delightful contrast with blue cheeses such as sweet gorgonzola or roquefort. Thanks to its sweetness and freshness, it also harmonizes well with spicy and sweet-and-sour dishes from Asian cuisine, particularly Thai and Chinese. Moreover, it’s an excellent choice for toasts, light aperitifs, and summer celebrations.

The cave was found by Luigi Saracco at the beginning of 1900; later Luigi’s son, Giovanni, enter this estate in 1951 and he buys more and more territories, up to 20 hectares of vineyards. In 1986...
