Poggio alle Gazze dell’Ornellaia 2022 is an elegant and aromatic Tuscan white wine, made from a blend of 53% Sauvignon Blanc, 37% Vermentino, 6% Viognier, 2% Verdicchio, and 2% Semillon. The grapes are hand-harvested in the early hours of the morning and immediately cooled upon arrival at the winery to preserve their full aromatic potential. They are then vinified and aged for 6 months in a combination of new and used barriques, stainless steel tanks, and concrete vats, followed by a further 12 months of bottle ageing.In the glass, Poggio alle Gazze dell’Ornellaia 2022 shows a beautiful, intense straw yellow colour. On the nose, the bouquet is fresh and complex, with citrus notes and hints of exotic fruit, accompanied by subtle touches of mint. On the palate, it is generous and well-balanced, with a pleasant aromatic freshness. Long and refined on the finish, Poggio alle Gazze dell’Ornellaia 2022 is perfect to enjoy with grilled fish, raw seafood, and delicate first courses.
