Description

Poggio alle Gazze dell’Ornellaia 2023 is an elegant and complex Tuscan white wine, crafted from a blend of 53% Sauvignon Blanc, 37% Vermentino, 7% Viognier, and 3% Semillon. The grapes are hand-harvested during the early morning hours and immediately cooled upon arrival at the winery to preserve their full aromatic potential. Fermentation and ageing take place over 6 months in a combination of new and used barriques, stainless steel tanks, and concrete vats, followed by a further 12 months of bottle ageing.
In the glass, Poggio alle Gazze dell’Ornellaia 2023 displays a bright straw yellow colour. On the nose, the bouquet is broad and complex, revealing citrus notes alongside hints of white-fleshed fruit, Mediterranean flowers, and aromatic herbs, complemented by delicate mineral nuances. On the palate, it is generous and well-structured, with vibrant freshness and pleasant salinity. Long and refined on the finish, Poggio alle Gazze dell’Ornellaia 2023 pairs perfectly with grilled fish, seafood crudités, and delicate pasta dishe
