Le Difese Igt Toscana Tenuta San Guido 2018

Le Difese of Tenuta San Guido is an important Tuscan red wine produced with Cabernet (70%) and Sangiovese (30%) grapes.

With a beautiful ruby red color, at nose it showsfruity and floral scents, with spicy and balsamic notes.

The taste is warm anenchanting, with a tannic body well balanced in the structure of the wine.

It is excellent in combination with grilled red meat meats, roasted white meat and seasoned cheese.

The Tenuta San Guido is located in the Maremma region, with about 13 kilometres of vineyards placed  on the coast between Livorno and Grosseto. This estate is famous in particular for the Sassicaia wine.
La Tenuta San Guido is the unique estate in Italy that have 75 hectares of vineyards cultivated for the production of the Sassicaia Bolgheri DOC wine.
The intuition of growing this kind of vine variety was not accidental and must be given to Mario Incisa della Rocchetta: it was a young student and he decided to make a quality wine like the Bordeaux, but in the Tuscany region.
Analyzing the terroir he noticed that there was some resemblance and so he started a little production. At the beginning the wine was drunk only into the estate. It was placed on the market approximately in the 1968 and it will soon decree the success of Tenuta San Guido.
