Description

Roero docg by Matteo Correggia is an elegant and deep red wine made from Nebbiolo grapes, authentically expressing the character of the sandy hills of the Roero. It offers a softer and more approachable version of Nebbiolo compared to Barolo or Barbaresco, yet equally complex and captivating—an expression of the innovative and territory-respectful philosophy that defines this renowned winery in Canale. Aged in wood and in bottle, it shows a beautiful bright garnet red in the glass. On the nose, it reveals floral and fruity aromas, with intense notes of ripe cherry, dried rose, and violet. The palate is harmonious, fresh, and finely tannic, with a pleasant softness and elegant structure. It finishes long and savory, leaving a balanced and refined impression. This wine pairs wonderfully with flavorful pasta dishes, red meats, braised meats, game, and aged cheeses. It is also excellent with autumn cuisine or a rosemary-seasoned steak. Roero docg by Matteo Correggia is a great Piedmontese red wine, with excellent aging potential, yet already enjoyable in its early years for those who appreciate freshness and fruit-driven elegance.
