More info

The Pinot Nero Riserva Rodel Pianezzi of Pojer e Sandri winery is a fine red wine made with grapes farmed on the Dolomites mountains in Trentino.

It shows a beautiful ruby red colour with garnet nuances; its bouquet is wide and complex, with notes of raspberry, ripe red fruit and spices in addition to tobacco hints on the background.

In mouth, it is round and intense, with soft tannins and a long and persistent final.

For these characteristics, this wine is perfect if drunk in combination with roasted or braised red meat, pigeon, guinea fowl and medium seasoning cheeses.

Pojer e Sandri

Pojer and Sandri’s cave arises in 1975, thanks to a meeting between Fiorentino Sandri and Mario Pojer, who wanted to launch a winery to produce high quality wine, starting from the vineyards situated between the Adige and the Cembra Valley, in Trentino. The first wine, produced in 1975, was a good Muller Thurgau, endowed with an elegant and precious taste, followed by the Chardonnay’s production. Little by little the cave increased its sizes, up to the present 26 hectares of vineyards, arranged on 6 different districts. In 1982 a distillery was built , and this was one of the first to produce grappa: all the spirits, the brandy and the other grappa derive from the regional raw material produced in the cave, as currant or quinces. Recently the cave has gained lot of success, following the creation of a new kind of wine, the Merlino, a specialty to combine with chocolate.
