More info

Ripe al Convento Castelgiocondo by Marchesi Frescobaldi is an elegant Brunello di Montalcino, produced with Sangiovese grapes cultivated in a small vineyard beautifully exposed on the highest hills of the Estate. On the eye, it presents a beautiful intense ruby red color with slight garnet reflections. On the nose, it develops a broad and complex bouquet with fruity hints of cherry, blackberry, wild berries on spicy notes of black pepper and cardamom. On the palate, it impresses with its full and harmonious flavor, accompanied by dense and elegant tannins. An extremely elegant wine, endowed with good structure and longevity, Ripe al Convento by Marchesi Frescobaldi pairs wonderfully with roasts and stews, Tuscan pecorino cheese and Tuscan cold cuts.

Manufacturer

The first wine’s production of this cave goes back up the year 1300 in the Estate of Castiglioni in Pesa Valley, in Firenze. From the beginning, the Marchesi de Frescobaldi are famous for the quality and the typicalness of their wines, in fact some artists as Donatello were attracted by these wine makers. Today the wine makers of this cave believe in the respect of the territory, by investing in the competence of human resources.
