CastelGiocondo Brunello di Montalcino docg Marchesi Frescobaldi 2018

CastelGiocondo by Marchesi Frescobaldi is an aristocratic Brunello di Montalcino wine, the result of a selection of grapes produced in Castelgiocondo estate, where altitude, soil and solar exposure create the ideal conditions for this ancient vineyard. This wine presents an intense ruby red colour with some purple nuances. The bouquet offers a precious and intense perception with hints of cherry, red fruits jams, blackberry, dog rose, violet, black pepper, cinnamon and licorice. In the mouth it is warm and dry, but at the same time soft and elegant with rich structure and persistence. CastelGiocondo by Marchesi Frescobaldi wine can be either drunk alone, or matched with beef, red meat with gravy sauces, game, and seasoned cheeses.

The first wine’s production of this cave goes back up the year 1300 in the Estate of Castiglioni in Pesa Valley, in Firenze. From the beginning, the Marchesi de Frescobaldi are famous for the quality and the typicalness of their wines, in fact some artists as Donatello were attracted by these wine makers. Today the wine makers of this cave believe in the respect of the territory, by investing in the competence of human resources.
