Description

The Sancerre Comte Lafond is an excellent white wine produced in the Loira Vallley and is made with 100% of Sauvignon grapes. The maison Comte Lafond represents one of the oldest and most famous winery of the Loire in France and since the end of the 1700s it is part of the property of Baron de Ladoucette. The Sancerre Compte Lafond is a fresh and pleasant wine, it has a nice straw-yellow color with greenish reflections. Its bouquet is floral and fruity, with notes of white flowers and elder, in addition to a pleasantly mineral background. The taste is savory and fresh, perfect to be enjoyed during a hot summer evening. The Sancerre Compte Lafond is perfect to drink with seafood appetizers, grilled fish or fresh cheeses.

The Baron de Ladoucette winery was founded in 1787 by the Comte Lafond family, ancestors of the Ladoucette lineage, who acquired the Pouilly-Fumé vineyards from the illegitimate daughter of the then King of France, Louis XV.
