Mendoza Selection Malbec Terrazas de los Andes 2015

The Malbec of Terrazas de los Andes is produced from grapes cultivated at the feet of the Cordillera of the Andes, on terraced plot of land and selected uplands.

Planted on an optimal altitude to enjoy ideal conditions of maturation, the grapes produce a good quality wine with an intense ruby red color. Its perfume remembers fruited aromas, with hints of gooseberries and plums, on a spiced background that remembers licorice. Whit a good structure in month, it is excellent to be combined to seconds courses of braised meats, grilled sausages and beefsteaks, stewed of hare and medium-aged cheeses.

The winery Terrazas de los Andes was founded in 1999; it is placed on the precipitous slopes of the Cordillera of the Andes, in a plot of land in which the first vineyards were planted in the 1929. The winery connects the French “savoir-faire” to the Argentinian “terroir”. Its name comes from the "terrazas", which are a series of terraced plateaus situated at the feet of the Cordillera of the Andes. Every vineyard is planted at different altitude to enjoy the ideal conditions of maturation. Terrazas de los Andes produces fresh, intense, elegant and refined wines, known at international level.
