San Defendente Roero Arneis docg Deltetto 2017 Riserva

The Arneis San Defendente of Deltetto winery is made with grapes grown in San Defendente , a small village located on the hills of Canale. This Arneis is a harmonious and complex wine, with a nice straw yellow color. With scents of flowers and ripe fruit, in the mouth it is structured and fresh. It is perfect if drunk in combination with appetizers and first courses. The particular label created by the artist Elisa Talentino tells the delicate and sensitive theme of women through the figure of “MASCA”. According to the old tradition of Piedmont the Masche were witches, with supernatural faculties.

Since 1953 the Deltetto cave produces high quality wines of Langa and Roero. It is settled in Canale and established by Carlo Deltetto: the philosophy of the cave has as purpose the respect of nature and of the great Piedmont’s tradition of wine. Now the winery is managed by the son of Carlo, Antonio, together with his wife Graziella and their sons Carlo, Cristina and Claudia. There is a various and complete production, which includes red wines of the tradition as Roero Braja, Barolo Sistaglia, Barbera Rocca delle Marasche, and Barbera Bramè, but also white wines typical of Roero as Arneis San Michele, Arneis Daivei and Favorita Servaj.
