Vintage Tunina igt Jermann 2020

Vintage Tunina by Jermann is a great wine produced with a selection of the best Sauvignon and Chardonnay vineyards, in addition to Ribolla Gialla, Malvasia Istriana, Picolit. The grapes are harvested later, about two weeks after the ordinary grape harvest. Vintage Tunina is the name of the former owner of the plot where the first vineyard is located, and is dedicated to the poorest Casanova's lover, whose name was Tunina (Antonia). The wine has a bright straw yellow colour with golden shades. The bouquet is intense and wide, floral and fruity with scents of apple, acacia’s flowers, honey, ripe fruits and vanilla. Vintage Tunina by Jermann is structured, persistent and pleasantly fresh. We recommend to serve it fresh, with grilled or baked fish, white meat and medium aged cheese.

In 1881 Anton Jermann, creator of this cave, decided to abandon the Austrian land of Burgenland and his estates in Slovenia, because he wanted to move to Friuli Venezia Giulia. Nowadays the cave is managed by Anton’s niece, Silvio, and the estate covers 150 hectares of white vineyards: the most important of them produces Vinnae, a type of wine created in 1983, that derives from the typical territory of Collio. Vinnae is a fresh and well-balanced wine, which respects all the characteristics of its soil. But the success of this winery derives from two kind of red wines , too: The Pignacolousse and the Mjzzu Blau&Blau.
