The Roero DOCG Gepin by Nino Costa is produced in the heart of the Roero, on the hills of Montà d’Alba, from Nebbiolo grapes grown in one of Piedmont’s most renowned areas for this great variety. It is a characterful red wine that expresses Roero Nebbiolo through structure, elegance and depth, authentically reflecting the personality of the territory. In the glass, it shows an intense ruby-red colour with elegant garnet reflections. On the nose, it offers a complex and refined bouquet dominated by aromas of ripe plum, violet and woodland, complemented by delicate spicy nuances. On the palate, it is full-bodied and dry, with a pronounced and well-defined tannic structure supported by a pleasant freshness. The wine develops harmoniously towards a long, persistent and ethereal finish, giving it remarkable elegance and depth. The Roero DOCG Gepin is an ideal match for substantial Piedmontese cuisine and richly flavoured dishes. It pairs particularly well with tajarin with ragù, agnolotti, risotto, roasted and braised meats, game and aged cheeses.
