More info

The Alta Langa Severina Rosè is one of the latest news of Correggia winery. Elegant and fine sparkling wine, it is produced with 85% Chardonnay grapes and 15% Pinot Noir grapoes grown in vineyards at an altitude of about 650 m above sea level. After an initial fermentation in steel under controlled temperature, the wine is bottled for the second fermentation in spring and it is refined on its lees in the bottle for at least 48-50 months. At sight it has a beautiful rosé color, very elegant, with nuances that remeber onion skin. Endowed with a fine and persistent perlage, in the nose it expresses an intense and fragrant bouquet, floral and fruity, with hints of small red fruits and white flowers. In the mouth it is fresh and sapid, mineral and crunchy. The Alta Langa Severina by Matteo Correggia is perfect to drink chilled as an aperitif or in combination with fish appetizers, chicken roulade and aubergine parmigiana.

Matteo Correggia

The cave of Matteo Correggia produces a huge choice of wines with its grapes that derive from 20 hectares of vineyards. The wines are sons of soils, where the vineyards have their roots: sandy soils, poor of clay and of silt, but rich in mineral sails and so appropriate for the production of elegant wines and also rich and refined bouquets. Matteo Correggia inherited the cave of his family in 1985 and he decided to carry on an ambitious project: that is make and produce wines of quality in an underrated territory. Today the cave is managed by Ornella Costa, wife of Matteo, who is dead very soon.
