Poggio alle Gazze dell'Ornellaia 2021 is an elegant and complex Tuscan white wine, obtained with a blend of: 72% Sauvignon Blanc, 16% Vermentino, 6% Viognier grapes and 6% Verdicchio. In order to to keep all their aromatic potential intact, the grapes are harvested by hand in the early hours of the morning and immediately cooled upon arrival in the cellar. They are then vinified and aged for 6 months in new and used barriques, steel and cement tanks; a further 12 months refinement in the bottle follows. At the sight Poggio alle Gazze dell'Ornellaia 2021 shows a beautiful bright straw yellow color. In the nose the bouquet is broad and complex, with citrus notes and hints of exotic fruit, white flowers, cut grass and asparagus. In the mouth, it is wide and well structured, with a pleasant freshness. With a savory and mineral finish, Poggio alle Gazze dell'Ornellaia is perfect to drink in combination with grilled fish, white meats and vegetables.

The Ornellaia winery was born in 1981 thanks to the intuition of the Marchese Ludovico Antinori, which want to use the 70 hectares of his propriety for producing fine wines.
The domain is located down the Bolgheri hills, in a territory just a few kilometers far from the Mediterranean coast,where the vineyards can express themselves at the best.
In 2005 Marchesi de Frescobaldi company acquired the winery, but the philosophy of Tenuta dell'Ornellaia never changes: enhancing every nuance of the terroir, every vintage, preserving the "Ornellaia style".
Every year, starting from the release of the excellent Ornellaia 2006, the winery asks to a contemporary artist to sign some bottles and draw their labels:then they are auctioned for art fundraising. From April 2019 Masseto has its own winery; the Masseto winery is the concrete and monolithic symbol of this wine.
