More info

The Barbera d'Asti of the Cascina Valle Asinari is a red wine made with 100% of Barbera grapes grown in the San Marzano Oliveto region, in the heart of Monferrato hills. The color is an intense ruby red with nuances that turn to purple. Its bouquet is aromatic and impressive, with very pleasant hints of ripe red fruits ans spices. In the mouth it is a mineral and decisive wine. With a harmonious and persistent taste, this Barbera is excellent to drink as in combination with pasta courses based on meat, appetizers typical of the Piedmont tradition or as an accompaniment to a nice platter of cold cuts and cheeses.

Manufacturer

The Valle Asinari winery is situated in San Marzano Oliveto, on the “Bricco di Valle Asinari”, a hill famous for the good wines produced since 1300. The property of the winery is 50% of the Borgogno winery of Barolo and 50% of the Brandini winery of La Morra, two successful producers of the Langhe who were fascinated by the beauty and location of the vineyards of Bricco Asinari. From these vineyards come from the Barbera grapes used to produce two excellent wines: the Barbera d'Asti and the Nizza docg Superiore.
