CONTRADA G Passopisciaro 2018

The Contrada G of Passopisciaro is a very elegant and intense red wine, produced with Nerello Mascalese grapes grown on the slopes of Etna, between 800 and 1000 meters above sea level. In the glass it has a beautiful intense ruby red color, while in the nose it develops a complex and intense bouquet, certainly characterized by elegant and fruity aromas, with notes of red fruits, black cherries and aromatic herbs. Red wine of great balance and full body, in the mouth it is intense, juicy, soft and characterized by a persistent and tannic finish. The Contrada G of Passopisciaro is perfect to drink with tasty main meat courses, such as roasted veal or kid choked in the oven, or in combination with a great chopping board of aged cheeses.

The Passopisciaro winery is one of the properties of Andrea Franchetti, made from the renovation of an ancient “baglio” on the slopes of Etna, in the city of Castiglione di Sicilia. Thanks to the sunny climate and the excellent temperature range, excellent wines are produced mainly based on Nerello Mascalese.
