Prapò Barolo docg Paolo Scavino 2019

The Barolo Prapò by Paolo Scavino is produced with 100% Nebbiolo grapes grown in a new vineyard of property, bougth in 2008 in one of the most historic crus of Serralunga d'Alba. In the glass it has a beautiful garnet red colour. The nose reveals a large and fruity bouquet, with notes of black cherry and blackberry, in addition to fresh and balsamic sensations of mint and rosemary. On the palate it is dry and full-bodied, with important tannins, long and persistent flavor. A wine with excellent aging potential, the Barolo Prapò by Paolo Scavino is perfect to drink in combination with roasted or stewed red meats, grilled veal fillet and medium-aged cheeses.

This cave was founded by Lorenzo Scavino and his son Paolo in 1921 in Castiglione Falletto. The winery counts about 23 hectares of vineyards, that allow the cave to sell 120000 bottles every year. Nowadays the wines’ production is managed by Enrico Scavino, together with his two daughters. The Scavino’s winery is known for its care and attention and for the belief that the viticulture is more important than the oenology. The wines distinguish themselves for the purity, the elegance and the twine of traditions and territories.
